It isn't. But if you remember that it only comes out when it gets scared, and what scares it is you doing something daring, something you love--something it thinks you can't or shouldn't do--then it can actually be a sign to keep going. It's a sneaky way to use it for your benefit. 😁

Love this--this is so important! I often find myself thinking "there's no point in writing unless I'm writing something good"...but then all that does is lead to not writing! Most of the process is writing the bad stuff

So true!! It’s writing the bad stuff and then making it better. If you stop writing the bad stuff, you’re cooked. You can’t revise something you don’t have.
