Nancy! I love that you color-coordinated your shiner with your blouse! Also love this pep talk and yes, life happens. I'm just glad you're okay and able to find the wisdom and humor in the situation.
Sometimes ya just gotta go for ALL the purple, you know? Tomorrow it'll be all the red, now that it's moving distinctly in that direction. The fun now is definitely looking each morning to see how it's changed overnight. My favorite thing at the moment is that the crease in my eyelid is the first thing to officially heal the bruise, so I have this weird "white" line across the lid, which makes everything above and below it seem that much smaller. (The lower lid remains the worst and will no doubt be the last to vanish.)
For as much as I find all of this fascinating and even amusing, there's no doubt that I am EXTREMELY lucky that I fell/landed the way I did rather than doing more damage. It could have been so much worse in ways I don't even want to think about, and I am very grateful that it was not.
