I’ve spent my weekend putting this week’s very long (and very deep) podcast episode together and working on developing a new online course, so I’m turning this week’s post over to YOU.
What’s going on in your world, creative or otherwise?
What wild new AI news have you heard? (Spoiler: apparently AI did NOT write that Carlin “show” I mentioned recently, and the family is suing the guy who did.)
What are you reading? Watching? Listening to?
Tell us what craziness your pet/kid/spouse/neighbor has been up to. Especially if it’s funny, though comedy is not required.
Ask us a question, if you like!
I would really love for this to be a place where we get to know each other, so I hope you’ll share something, no matter how small, in a comment below and greet your fellow readers.
For my part, in addition to the aforementioned podcast and course, I’m enjoying the yearlong War and Peace read (though it feels like it’s eating into my general reading time more than I expected, which I don’t understand—which makes me suspect that I’m just not finding as much reading time as I’m used to).
I’ve also recently finished watching the Netflix adaptation of Sandman, started watching Slow Horses (which is even better than I was led to believe), and this year’s All Creatures Great and Small. And I’ve been working on a pitch for a freelance story about how going to a Doctor Who convention changed my life, so keep your fingers crossed for that!
Love all of this, Nancy! Very excited about your pitch, as you know. Also watching Slow Horses (Season 3) and All Creatures Great and Small over here. Last night, it finally hit me that Samuel West is in both shows! Took me a minute since he is sans facial hair in Slow Horses. About to wrap up the 30 Day Drawing Habit with Wendy Mac and it's brought me so much joy. I think I've even managed to slightly improve my stick figures. Lol. Apart from that, it's my birthday on Saturday and I'm headed to the Bay Area to visit some family members. I look forward to eating lots of cake.
Near Portland, OR. "Nice weeather" is relative. It's in the 40's and 50's and not pouring rain. A couple weeks ago it was ice storms!
