Yes, it is time for me to become intentionally conscious of screen time. Time to take back the control and the decision-making. Time to stop sliding from one episode to the next without even noticing.
Thanks for this wisdom.
(And, just saying, I felt like you were talking directly to me, Nancy!)
It's so easy to do all these things, isn't it? (And lord knows, I'm as guilty as anyone else! Also, my TV turned itself ON this morning without my knowledge or consent, which is a little weird!)
You're very welcome--and I have a feeling you're not the only one who felt that way! ;)
Ahhh, you are one of the rare wise ones who avoided getting sucked into all the crazy in the first place! One of my good friends is like you (though she has a TV--she's the one with the Max DVDs--but she has no social media) and we regularly discuss how jealous I am of her. ;)
We've been warned by Max, and now re-warned by you, beautifully, in this post. I love your long-form thinking/writing, Nancy.
Thanks, Kelly! That's such a huge compliment coming from you. :)

I Don't have a TV. Don't subscribe to any streaming services. I carry around a notepad and draw if I'm in a waiting room or whatever.
