We really do lose our curiosity somewhere along the way! I'm often connecting with the childlike version of me who just wants to play and have fun. I so often think I don't have time for that, but it's in the moments of play and joy that I feel most alive!
Yes! We lose it when we're told we're "too old" to play or ask questions, that it's time to grow up and do "adult" things. The thing about that is that our brains never outgrow those things, and we're the only animals on earth that don't! So our brains clearly know something our culture doesn't want them to.
And there's a reason why we feel most alive in those moments of play and joy--they're when we're connected most deeply to that life force inside us. :)
Just restacked this. If anyone reading this hasn’t yet discovered Nancy’s Follow Your Curiosity podcast, I encourage you to check it out … every episode I’ve listened to has been fantastic!
