Yay! Hmmm! It can be hard for people who’ve never seen it to get into the show if they start back in 1963–it’s black and white, and the pacing is much slower. I’d suggest starting with the start of the 2005 series, with Christopher Eccleston, because it was meant to give new viewers a starting point. Once you get a feel for it, you can jump back to the classic series (and I can definitely make recommendations there, if you like!). At the moment, the 2005 series streams on Max, and the classic series just dropped for free (with ads) on Tubi. (To make it all even muddier, everything from this year on is on Disney+).
Excellent. Thanks so much for the tips! I have MAX so I'll get started there. Some people can't deal with using the phone and I can't deal with TV commercials. Lol.
I’ve never watched it!! But you have convinced me to give it a whirl. Do you recommend starting with the very first one? Or is it okay to start later?

Ha! Understood. Tubi's not the only place to watch classic Who. Britbox also has all of it, and as far as I'm aware, no ads. :)
I'm so curious to hear what you think!
I will report back. I currently don't have Britbox, but I really want it, and I almost put it on my gift "ideas" list, but that felt a tad pushy.
